Edmonton Oilers fans are set to take over downtown once again, with the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs just days away.

Oilers playoff tickets went on sale over the weekend, but there will also be plenty of cheaper ways for fans to follow the team this postseason. Outdoor viewing parties have become a staple of the playoff experience in the Alberta capital over the past few seasons, and they are set to return.

The team confirmed this week that fans would be able to take part in outdoor viewing parties for each Oilers playoff game, home and away, at the Ice District Plaza (known by fans as the “Moss Pit”) directly south of Rogers Place and the FanPark to the east of the rink.

Fans of all ages can get in on the fun in both locations free of charge, but you will have to sign up for a free LOILITY rewards membership to get into the FanPark.

Both the Plaza and FanPark will feature games on large screens for fans to follow along with a variety of food and beverage options. Various Oilers alumni are also expected to attend these events.

The Molson Hockey House inside Rogers Place’s Ford Hall will also be open for each Oilers playoff game for fans 18 and up with no cover charge.

If you want to get into the Rogers Place bowl but can’t afford the cost of playoff tickets, Edmonton will also be offering $10 tickets to sit inside the arena and watch playoff away games. Tickets will go on sale as soon as the Oilers’ opening round schedule is released and is dependent on the arena being available on those nights.

Edmonton’s first-round playoff schedule against the LA Kings has yet to be released but should come later this week before the postseason kicks off on Saturday.
