Edmonton Oilers reveal headliner for FREE Stanley Cup Final concert before Game 5

Edmonton Oilers fans will be treated to yet another free pregame concert ahead of Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final on Saturday night.

This will be the third concert in Edmonton’s Ice District to celebrate the return of the Stanley Cup Final. The Arkells rocked out ahead of Game 1, disturbing the Florida Panthers in the process, and then it was the Glorious Sons teaming up with Triumph before Game 2.

With the series set to shift back to Edmonton for Game 5, another award-winning Canadian band has been chosen to perform for fans. Juno Award recipients and seven-time CCMA award winners James Barker Band will be delighting fans on Saturday afternoon.

The Canadian country band is best known for the hit songs “Chills” and “Good Together,” among others.

Fans will be able to see James Barker Band in the Ice District Fan Park directly East of Rogers Place, completely free of charge, before Game 5. Doors are set to open at 3 p.m. MDT with the performance set an hour later at 4 p.m. MDT.

This will leave plenty of time for fans to get amped for the hockey game, as puck drop is set two hours after the concert at 6 p.m. MDT.

Fans will likely need to line up well in advance of the doors opening to ensure they secure a spot in the Fan Park. No tickets are needed to see the concert, but fans will be asked to scan their Loilty rewards membership, which is free to sign up for on the Oilers website.

All ages are welcome to attend the performance.
