The Edmonton Oilers will have one more thing to worry about when they head to Texas to take on the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference Final.
Though the atmosphere in the Lone Star State will almost certainly pale in comparison to the passion on display by Oilers fans in Rogers Place, one Dallas fan in particular is looking to make an impact on the series.
The notorious Nick Moroch, better known as the Stars’ “glass banger” fan, has just gotten out of prison and is preparing for Dallas’ series against the Oilers.
This comes after Moroch made a return to social media with his first post on X since January.

This post alone seemed to confuse fellow hockey fans about whether or not Moroche would be attending Game 1 of the series on Wednesday night. Spittin’ Chiclets’ Paul Bissonnette, who has a longtime feud with Moroche, asked if this would be the case, and the glass banger confirmed that he would be at the game.
“I’ll be there, will you?” Moroche responded.
I’ll be there. You? https://t.co/AdIJ3RpjLO

Moroche made headlines during Dallas’ run to the Western Conference Final last season, with fellow fans either loving or hating his in-game antics. As his nickname would suggest, he sat right behind opposing goaltenders during playoff games at American Airlines Arena while holding a sign that said “#BANG” and slamming the glass relentlessly at every opportunity.
He has been noticeably absent from that spot this year after having been arrested back in November. This happened after he was involved in a traffic accident and was taken into custody after law enforcement discovered an active warrant from a probation violation stemming from a previous “driving while intoxicated” offence.
Moroche was initially supposed to be let out on May 25, but it seems he has gotten out earlier.

Moroche didn’t seem to make all that much of a difference in last year’s series against the Oilers, which Dallas lost in six games. This time around, Edmonton fans will be hoping for more of the same.
