Edmonton's new bike park is taking shape in the river valley

Edmonton is well-known for its large mountain biking community, and a new bike park in the heart of the city is another step closer to being completed.
Queen Elizabeth Park will soon be home to the Edmonton Bike Park, a first-of-its-kind facility that provides a dedicated and safe space for riders to develop their skills on flow trails, jump lines, and skills areas.
The project is the result of years of community engagement, advocacy, and collaboration with the City of Edmonton and Albertaās mountain biking community.
Crews are now on-site shaping the park, with volunteer builders working alongside professional companies such as Peak Play and Cabin Works. The group has also shared photos of the progress, showing all of the features beginning to take shape.

The design incorporates lessons learned from other successful bike parks across North America, including destinations in Whistler, Moab, Bentonville, and several Alberta communities such as Hinton, Nordegg, Canmore, Valemount, and Grande Prairie, according to the most recent update.
