One of Edmonton's hottest cafes is opening a new location

This Yemeni cafe is expanding, getting ready to serve the south side of Edmonton.
Edmonton’s resident Yemeni cafe, Mokha Coffee House, is officially expanding. The popular destination for Yemeni coffee and treats started at a single location on the north side of the city in Griesbach, and now, it’s bringing its Halal eats and sips to a new neighbourhood.
The cafe has become a staple in the area since 2024, with the large windows creating an excellent atmosphere to grab a bite with friends or study with headphones in. The indoor seating area is a vibrant greenhouse, with plants spread out across the two floors in a beautiful display.
Its hours are even more pleasant for night-owls, with the cafe being open 8 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
With its ever-growing popularity, Mokha Coffee House recently announced that a new location would be opening in Edmonton.

Mokha Coffee House shared online that the team is currently hiring for its new location in Windermere.
The location has not opened yet, but this Windermere location is perfect for those on the south side who now won’t have to drive across the city for authentic Yemeni coffee.
In terms of the menu, people can expect to see the same delicious flavours like its Mokha Frappe, a classic iced caramel macchiato, and treats like its popular Baklava stuffed with ice cream.
No exact date for opening has been released yet, but Mokha Coffee House says it is “opening soon.”
We’ll keep you posted when more opening details are announced. Stay tuned!
