One of McDonald’s most iconic menu items is celebrating a huge milestone this year with some limited-time flavours.
The iconic McFlurry is a Canadian invention, created by McDonald’s franchisee Ron McLellan from Bathurst, N.B., in 1995, making it 30 years old in 2025. Now, the product is available around the world.
To celebrate three decades of the McFlurry, McDonald’s is launching two limited-time McFlurry flavours across Canada.

What’s a good birthday party without cake? Canadians will be able to take part in the festivities with the Birthday Cake McFlurry, made with classic vanilla soft serve, confetti cookie dough, and a drizzle of birthday cake syrup.
The fast-food giant is also dropping a Cheesecake McFlurry with four different flavour options available: strawberry, fudge, caramel and Oreo. That’s not all, as McDonald’s has hinted at another new flavour coming soon.
The McFlurry flavours will be available at locations across Canada for a limited time only.
