The Stanley Cup Playoffs are here, which means one thing: a new wave of WAG jackets.

For those unfamiliar, the WAG jacket has become an annual tradition for the wives and girlfriends (WAGs) of NHL players in the playoffs.Ā The group of WAGs from each team will get together and wear matching jackets to support their loved ones.

With the Edmonton Oilers kicking off their playoff schedule with a 4-3 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Monday night, fans got a first look at this year’s jacket. It’s a sleek, brown, and beige leather design that was made by Connor McDavid’s wife, Lauren, through her sportswear label, Sports Club Atelier.

The group was spotted wearing the jackets on the way to the game.

Lauren revealed in a GRWM video on her Instagram that she has two options for the ladies to choose from. One is the heavier leather design, while the other is a lighter, sportier option. From the looks of it, the group opted to go with the heavier jacket for the playoff opener.

That particular jacket has some pretty unique details, including the signature of the player on each individual collar. The last name is stitched to the back.

The lighter jacket, which Lauren revealed will likely be the outfit for Game 2 on Wednesday night, does look quite a bit lighter. It’s a blue and white design with the player number on the chest and a bit of orange.

Lauren showed off a blurb on the back of the lighter jacket that talks about the essence of the team.

Sports Club Atelier has been popular among the world of WAG jackets this season, and not just for the Oilers. Lauren’s label has also made jackets for the wives and girlfriends of the Dallas Stars and Carolina Hurricanes as well.

Both of those feature unique elements as well, with Carolina having the storm flag incorporated in the belt loop and Dallas getting the Western-style frills off the shoulders.

The hope is that Oilers fans see a lot of their jackets over the next few months and that it’ll end with them wearing them on the ice to celebrate a Stanley Cup championship.
