24-year-old man charged with second-degree murder in apartment killing

A 24-year-old man has been charged for a killing that took place in an apartment in Edmonton late last week.

According to a release from Edmonton Police Service, “West Division patrol officers responded to a 911 call for assistance at an apartment building near 154 Street and 84 Avenue” on November 28.

When officers arrived, they discovered the body of 22-year-old victim Douglas Crossman inside the apartment building.

Brayden Barclay, 24, of Edmonton, was arrested on November 30 and charged yesterday with one count of second-degree murder.

Police have not released the cause of Crossman’s death and say that no further details are being put forth at this time for investigative purposes.
