Police investigating "serious collision" involving pedestrian in west Edmonton

Edmonton Police Service are investigating a “serious collision” involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in west Edmonton.

Currently, 107 avenue westbound is closed at 127 Street as police continue to investigate the incident which happened earlier this morning.

According to a release from police just before 9 am Monday morning, all westbound traffic is being rerouted north onto 127 Street.

Motorists are being asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

Police are expected to release more information later in the day.
