Hot off the heels of the KD Mac and Cheesecake, Kraft Dinner is launching a new mashup: KD Ramen.
The new product takes the classic taste of KD and combines it with the flavours of ramen in three different varieties: Cheesy, Extra Cheesy, and Extra Spicy.
“KD has long been a staple in Canadian kitchens, and we’re constantly looking to stay at the forefront of food, flavour and consumer trends,” said Kelly Fleming, vice president of marketing and strategy for Kraft Heinz Canada.
“As we started to see cheesy ramen emerge as a fast-growing segment within the ramen category in Canada, we saw an opportunity to bring the familiar cheesiness of KD to the ramen aisle. After over a year and a half of development, we’re excited to bring three all-new KD Ramen varieties that are accessible, made for today’s cravings, and still unapologetically KD.”
TheĀ Cheesy RamenĀ is a blend of KD cheese with a bold ramen flavour full of umami and subtle spice. Those who aren’t a fan of spice should opt for theĀ Extra Cheesy, which still has a mild ramen flavour but leans more into the cheesy side of things. But if you’re looking to turn up the heat, the Extra SpicyĀ packs a little bit more of a kick.
