This week, family-run restaurant Jumo Korean Diner opened its doors in Edmonton and is now dishing up deliciously authentic Korean food for the city.

JUMO officially opened this Monday, Oct. 12, to the delight of foodies all across the city. With a mother-son duo manning the kitchen, this authentic Korean spot offers a wide variety of Korean soups, stews, barbecue, and so much more.

According to their post on Instagram, the business was so busy on opening day that they ended up selling out of a lot of items, including dishes like boneless chicken and pig feet.

“As a small family-run restaurant, we believe in serving only fresh, quality food made with love, and sometimes that takes a little extra time,” the team writes on Instagram.

For those wanting a closer look at all the dishes being served, Jumo has posted the full menu on Instagram, complete with items available now and those coming soon.

According to one of the business’s latest posts on Instagram, its operating hours will be noon to 8 p.m. (with last call at 7:30 p.m.) every day until they get more staff on board.

Walk-ins are welcome but, due to being a small independent kitchen, Jumo doesn’t take advance table reservations.

If you’re looking for a new south side eatery to check out soon, this all-new family-run spot is one that should definitely make the list.
