Edmonton is home to some exceptional spots for Mexican dining, and now, a brand-new family-owned spot for tacos and more has just opened its doors.

From the team behind Frida Urban Taqueria, Juana Inés: Mexican Cuisine has just opened in Manchester Square.

The spot, which is named after Mexican writer and philosopher Juana Inés, offers authentic Mexican dishes using recipes passed down through generations.

The interior has been styled to resemble a Mexican villa complete with limewash walls, tons of greenery, artwork, and elaborate chandeliers.

Expect a range of delicious dishes from classics such as guacamole and elote, as well as several varieties of tacos, enchiladas, and quesadillas.

The new restaurant is open six days a week from lunchtime through to the evenings, so there’s plenty of time to check it out.
