Jasper knows how to throw a winter party like no other.

Jasper in January has kicked off its 31st year as of last Friday, with three weekends full of art, music, dance, food, and winter activities taking place in the mountain paradise.

Some events are ticketed while others are free to attend, but with over 40 different things to do throughout the two and a half weeks of festivities, we’re sure you’ll find something to enjoy.

A few of the highlights are a brewery tour, ice climbing lessons, dark sky snowshoe tours, sleigh rides, and a pond hockey tournament.

A full list of events can be found here.

The festival started on January 17 and ends on February 2, with most of the events taking place during the weekends, though there are more than a few things to do during weekdays in the area, including snowshoeing, skiing, and ice skating.
