Canadian nutrition company gives 15,000 bottles of vitamins to healthcare workers
The times we’re experiencing right now are not easy, but the support and dedication of frontline workers across the country are helping us get through. By now, you’ve likely joined in with the daily 7 pm cheer for our health heroes, as well as witnessed countless gestures of gratitude in your city.
Canada’s largest nutritional gummy manufacturer, a family-owned and operated company based in Richmond, BC, is doing its part for the community by supporting healthcare groups of doctors, nurses, and caregivers on the frontline.
“As a vitamin company with deep ties to our community, we knew we could not just sit on the sidelines at this moment. Instead, we decided to create something meaningful that also represents our core values,” explains Musharaf Syed and Aisha Yang, co-founders of Herbaland Gummies.
The Herbaland team pulled together to contact more than 500 healthcare centres in BC to understand their needs and see if they were interested in accepting a donation. “As soon as we got the answers, we started shipping them the Immune Gummies,” says Yang.
Herbaland set out to donate 10,000 bottles of Immune Plus Gummies by the end of 2020. However, it has already surpassed its goal with 15,000 donations — on the West Coast alone.
Lin Ivey, marketing lead and nutritionist, explains that Herbaland Immune Gummies are packed with a powerful mix of antioxidants like elderberry, echinacea, vitamin C, vitamin D, and zinc, which support the immune system and help it to fight against colds and flu.
The gummies are also vegan, sugar-free, gluten-free, and free of most allergens, so they’re pretty much made with everyone in mind.
The company is now producing more Immune Gummies to spread the love to Canada’s East Coast.
