New 40,000 sq. ft. grocery store opening in Edmonton next week
A brand-new grocery store is set to open in Edmonton next week, with FreshCo coming to the city’s southwest.
FreshCo is opening in Edmonton’s Glenridding neighbourhood. It will hold its grand opening on Thursday, May 29. The store will open to the public at 8 a.m.
“FreshCo Glenridding brings together the best of fresh food and global flavours in a format
tailored to the surrounding community,” the company said.
“Consumers can expect a wide range of produce, pantry staples, and international grocery items, all under one roof.”
According to the Alberta Projects website, the new store will be around 40,000 square feet and is estimated to cost $7.7 million.
The Glenridding FreshCo will be the eighth in the city.
