New 44,000 sq. ft. grocery store is opening in Edmonton this week
It’s been a mammoth year for grocery store openings in Edmonton, and it’s now time to welcome another into the fold.
Just weeks after opening in the Glenridding neighbourhood, FreshCo has revealed that its new Edgemont store will open its doors to customers this week.
The new location at 20141 Lessard Rd. NW will be opening to the public at 8 a.m. on Thursday, June 26.

To celebrate, the store announced on Facebook that it would be handing out $10 gift cards to the first 300 people to visit the store on opening day.
According to the Alberta Projects website, the store stands at roughly 44,500 square feet and is estimated to have cost around $8.1 million.
The new Edgemont store will be the ninth in Edmonton.
