Alberta-born singer and songwriter, Tate McRae, has taken the world by storm with her viral and trendy hits. The star was born in Calgary, and after living in Oman from the ages of four to six, her family returned to Calgary, where she attended school and local competitive dance studios. One of her first shows was performed at the Palace Theatre in Calgary. Some of her hits include “sports car,” “greedy,” “exes,” and even a song paying tribute to her hometown, “calgary.“

From Calgary, Paul Brandt is a country singer who rose to fame in the 1990s and has become one of Canada’s most successful country artists. He attended Mount Royal University, majoring in nursing, and was working as a pediatric nurse at the time of his big break. He still has ties to the Calgary area with his foundation, #NotInMyCity, and he is currently the co-chair of the governing board for the Alberta Office to Combat Trafficking in Persons.
