EPIC Market closing after 'Herculean task' operating on Whyte Avenue

EPIC Market, the multi-level food hall located in Station Park at the corner of Whyte Avenue and Gateway Boulevard, has abruptly closed down.
In a statement posted to its website, the business said it will be seeking a new location after nearly two years in the container park.
“Unfortunately, and with a touch of surprise, we can no longer operate on Whyte Ave,” the statement reads.
The food hall cited challenges related to parking and foot traffic at the location.
“Operating at that corner was unfortunately a Herculean task without parking or foot traffic. We want to thank the Whyte Ave community for all the time, support and amazing moments we’ve had together.”
EPIC Market added that it’s actively looking for a new location and will share updates when available.
“We’ll be pursuing a new and improved home and let you all know as soon as possible. Stay tuned, my friends,” the statement continued, noting the team is working with clients to relocate any pre-existing events to other venues.

The food hall spanned two floors and featured a range of cuisines. The second floor was home to Osteria, an Italian ristorante, alongside Petite Burger Shop, Pueblo Mexican, and Hop Shop, which served draft beer, wine, and cocktails.
The third floor housed Maneki Asian Fusion and Char Chop House & Charcuterie, complete with Blossom, a cocktail and wine bar.
It will surely be missed!
Street-level businesses within Station Park remain open, including popular spot DRTY Ice Cream. New additions are also moving in, including Cheese Louise, which recently opened in the Station Park courtyard, serving up grilled cheese sandwiches.
