Edmonton Police are investigating after an employee at Edmonton Zoo was injured in a hit and run in the zoo’s parking lot.
According to police, the collision happened in the morning on December 10, 2019.
“The EPS is currently investigating the report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle in the area of 133 Street and Buena Vista Road late yesterday morning,” said the EPS in a statement to Daily Hive.
Police say two vehicles were reported driving erratically in the parking lot of the city zoo when they were approached by a staff member.
One of the vehicles and the staff member then reportedly “made contact,” after which both vehicles fled the area.
EMS responded and transported the staff member — a male in his twenties — to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers continue to investigate the incident.
