Here's what the weather will look like in Edmonton this Easter weekend

Apr 1 2021, 5:15 pm

Easter is arriving a little earlier than usual this year (the holiday falls on April 4), and the long weekend weather may reflect that, with flurries in the forecast for Edmonton.

It’s 7ºC and partly cloudy in the city right now, and things are expected to warm up to 14ºC this afternoon to usher in the weekend.

According to The Weather Network, Friday will see cloudy skies and a high of 7ºC.

Saturday is predicted to bring the nicest weather of the weekend, and it’ll be “cloudy with sunny breaks” and a high of 8ºC.

Temperatures remain steady at 8ºC on Sunday; however, flurries are expected throughout the morning, bringing one centimetre of snow or less to Edmonton.

Let’s hope that the snow gives way to rain soon and brings some colour into the city.

Moving into next week, the weather improves dramatically, with double-digit highs and mainly sunny skies.

Monday could reach 9ºC with a mix of sun and clouds, and the high is expected to rise to 10ºC on Tuesday.

14ºC is in the forecast for Wednesday – fingers crossed these double-digit spring temperatures continue into the rest of the month.

Sounds like staying cozy indoors might be the best way to spend this Easter weekend, Edmonton.
