Temperature drop expected this weekend in Edmonton

Temperature drops and flurries are expected to hit Edmonton this weekend, so enjoy the “warmer” (read: above zero) temperatures while you can!

According to Environment Canada, Thursday’s temperature is expected to hit a high of 3°C during the day, while Friday is expected to be rainy with a high of 8°C. There is a risk of freezing rain overnight on Thursday and carrying into Friday morning.

Things will take a turn on the weekend, with snow expected to hit and temperatures returning to below zero.

According to Environment Canada, a high of -7°C is expected on Saturday, with a 60% chance of flurries, and a high of -14°C with sun on Sunday.
