Getting through the second round of the playoffs and into the Western Conference Final is becoming a common theme for the Edmonton Oilers.

They were able to punch their ticket to the Western Conference Final on Wednesday night thanks to a 1-0 overtime win over the Vegas Golden Knights. The intensity and excitement level is quickly picking up in Edmonton, with many feeling like this team will reach its ultimate goal after coming so close just a year ago.

Though the Oilers are not yet aware of who they will be facing in the next round, tickets to attend what would be Game 3, Game 4, and potentially Game 6 will be going up for sale on Friday at noon MDT.

The Dallas Stars and Winnipeg Jets are currently battling it out for an opportunity to go head-to-head with the Oilers. The Stars are currently leading the Jets 3-1 in the series, and have a chance to move on Thursday evening.

Should it be the Stars advancing, it will mark the second straight year they and the Oilers have met up in the Western Conference Final. Last year, it was the Oilers coming out victorious, defeating the Stars by a 4-2 series final.
