Edmonton Oilers billboard trolls Golden Knights fans in the streets of Las Vegas

Edmonton Oilers fans have had no issue whatsoever when it comes to trolling the Vegas Golden Knights and their fan base.

The rivalry between the two Western Conference teams extends far beyond the ice, and hit a different level prior to Game 4 in Edmonton, where a Las Vegas sports bar purchased 165 billboards throughout Alberta’s capital city to make fun of their heartbreaking Game 3 loss, which came with just 0.04 seconds remaining in the third period.

Since then, the Canadian Brewhouse has responded, posting a funny billboard ad of their own just minutes from T-Mobile Arena ahead of Game 5 on Wednesday night. The fun didn’t stop there, either, as PABLAWS, a law firm in Edmonton, trolled the Golden Knights in hilarious fashion after they were eliminated.

“0.04 seconds, 165 billboards, just 4-1 loss?” the billboard, poking fun at the series outcome, read. “Edmonton wins. That’s law.”

The idea to purchase billboards in Edmonton may have been bad karma, as the Oilers were able to win each of their next two outings to advance to the Western Conference Final for the third time in four years. They will now play either the Dallas Stars or Winnipeg Jets, where things between the two fan bases are sure to get just as intense and every bit as fun.
