Edmonton Oilers hosting open practice that is FREE for fans to attend
Those wanting to see the Edmonton Oilers up close and personal will have the opportunity to do in less than two weeks time.
With the 2026-27 season right around the corner, the Oilers have announced that their annual Fan Day celebration will take place on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
As has been the case in past years, this event will include Oilers open practices for any and all fans to attend. Fans will also get the opportunity to be part of an exclusive locker room sale, as well as a variety of family-friendly activities.
Many in the past have been especially keen on the locker room sale, which, for this year, will take place at Ford Hall from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Those attending will have a chance to land game-used equipment, exclusive merchandise, and limited edition Oilers gear.
The practice, meanwhile, will give Oilers fans a final look at players ahead of their first exhibition game that same Saturday evening versus the Winnipeg Jets. The outing will be at Rogers Place and will get underway at 6 p.m.
As for the family-friendly activities, the Oilers have announced that there will be bouncy castles, balloon artists, face painting and more. Fans will also have the shot to meet and take photos with Oilers mascot Hunter the Lynx, as well as Oil Kings mascot Louie the Lion. There will also be several Oil Kings alumni present at the event.
Fans are also encouraged to head to the Fan Park at the Ice District to celebrate the Oktoberfest celebration, which will get underway at 5 p.m. This event isn’t free, however, withĀ tickets listed at $36.50.
The Oilers have just four preseason games this year before getting their regular season underway on Sept. 29 against Elias Pettersson and the Vancouver Canucks.
