Road closures you should know about with Edmonton Oilers Stanley Cup Final games

Jun 4 2025, 4:24 pm

Excitement is building in Edmonton ahead of the Stanley Cup Final as the Oilers battle the Florida Panthers, and there are some road closures to keep in mind if you’re downtown for the game.

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) announced on Wednesday, ahead of the hotly anticipated game one of the final round, that some road closures will be temporarily in effect at the end of all Edmonton Oilers games.

EPS says that vehicular traffic will be closed on 104th Avenue between 101st Street and 105th Street. Additionally, 105th Avenue eastbound will be closed from 102 Street to 101st Street.

Police say motorists should expect significant traffic delays during home games, and there will also be a substantial increase in police and security presence in the downtown area, especially in the ICE District.

“The Edmonton Police Service would like to remind everyone to celebrate responsibly. Respect your fellow fans. Plan safe rides to and from the festivities. Don’t be that fan—fighting, disorderly conduct, and impaired driving will not be tolerated. Officers will be there to make sure everyone has safe and a memorable night,” police added.

Puck drop for game one of the Stanley Cup Final between the Oilers and Panthers will be at 6 p.m. tonight.
