Edmonton’s Mayor Don Iveson shared Monday that he is in self isolation at home after experiencing mild “cold-like” symptoms.
Iveson shared an update on Twitter, mentioning that he will be making the move to working from home, while still giving Edmontonians regular updates on COVID-19 in the province.
I’ll be doing a lot of my #COVID19 updates from home for the next while. I have some mild symptoms so the responsible thing for me to do is stay home.I will still be giving regular updates… pic.twitter.com/atynLNxPes

Iveson later clarified his symptoms are mild, and he has not been instructed by Alberta Health Services to get tested for the coronavirus at this time.
Regardless of the severity of symptoms, “stay home,” is the advice being given by Iveson to Edmontonians, in order to keep one another safe, and plank the curve during the ongoing pandemic.
