
The next time you pack your bags for a flight, know you’re in for a treat as the YEG Edmonton International Airport has just been named the best airport in Canada.
A new global ranking from AirHelp of the best airports found YEG as the best airport in the country, climbing an impressive 72 spots to rank 123rd globally with a score of 7.57.
Close behind was Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, while our pals down south at the Calgary International Airport landed poorly, coming in at 197th place.

Edmonton International Airport
Toronto’s Pearson International Airport ranked as Canada’s lowest-performing major airport, placing 202nd globally.
The ranking looked at 250 airports across 68 countries, and the 2025 ranking named Cape Town Airport in South Africa the world’s leading airport, scoring 8.57 points overall.
AirHelp has been publishing the AirHelp Score since 2015 (with a break during the pandemic) to help passengers better plan their flights. Multiple data sources and factors are combined to give passengers a comprehensive picture of how an airline or airport is performing. The rating of airports is based on three factors: punctuality, customer opinions, and food and business.
