Grab your sunglasses and arrange the patio furniture, because Edmonton is about to be treated to some lovely temperatures not seen since September of last year.

According to the seven-day forecast from Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), Edmonton is going to be treated to a high of 26°C today, and it’s only getting warmer for the peak of the weekend.

Saturday is looking to reach a spectacular 28°C, a temperature not reached in more than 230 days, with September 8, 2024, being the last day Edmonton saw a day that was at that temperature or hotter.

Things start to take a dive into more normal temperature territory come Sunday and Monday with highs of 15°C and 16°C, respectively. Better get out and enjoy most of the warmth on the weekend.
