A downtown Edmonton park just reopened and it's getting a bouldering wall

A new outdoor bouldering wall is coming to downtown Edmonton next spring as part of the newly reopened Beaver Hills House Park and Michael Phair Park.
The two parks, located between Jasper Avenue and 104th Street, have officially reopened following a two-year renewal project focused on improving safety, accessibility, sight lines, and overall use. The dividing wall between the parks has been removed, creating a new connected green space in the downtown core.
The bouldering wall will be located in a corner of Beaver Hills House Park and is expected to open in Spring 2026, according to the City, while a new public washroom in the park is set to open this winter.
Other updates to Beaver Hills House Park include the new Jasper Avenue Plaza, a reimagined Aboriginal Walk of Honour, cafe seating, reshaped planting beds, informal seating walls, and a fire feature with bench seating.

This is the second park to open in downtown Edmonton in the second half of 2025, following O-day’min Park, which opened to the public in November.
