Edmonton rec centre named one of the world's most beautiful for 2026
Edmonton’s new Coronation Park Sports and Recreation Centre has been named one of the world’s most beautiful arenas for 2026.
The Prix Versailles Selection Committee named the facility one of seven honourees on its World’s Most Beautiful Arenas list, which was announced on Oct. 19.
Other honourees include venues in China, France, Italy, Morocco, and New Zealand.
According to the Prix Versailles, the 2026 selection highlights architectural diversity, combining bold design with local character across five continents.
“Coronation Park Sports and Recreation Centre is not just a facility. It is a destination, a community connector,” said Edmonton Mayor Andrew Knack.
“Edmonton is proud to receive this international recognition from the Prix Versailles Selection Committee.”
