Edmonton's most popular country bar is opening its own steakhouse restaurant

Giddy up, people! One of Edmonton’s most popular country bars is expanding its walls to make room for an all-new steakhouse restaurant.
Cook County Saloon has been an Edmonton staple for many years, having been one of the only country bars within the city before Daisy’s Saloon opened its doors. Now, it’s expanding into the old space where Von’s used to be, making the Cook County Saloon bigger and better than ever, along with a new Cook County Steakhouse.
Sitting just off of Gateway Boulevard and adjacent to Whyte Avenue, this saloon has been in a prime spot for a while. Its restaurant was initially announced in August 2025, and everyone has been waiting in anticipation for the opening weekend.
