There's a new spot in Edmonton specializing in gooey grilled cheese sandwiches

Jan 21 2026, 8:26 pm

A new restaurant that serves up fresh grilled cheese sandwiches has opened in Edmonton.

Cheese Louise is the newest addition to Station Park, which previously housed EPIC Market, amongst other vendors. This sandwich shop operates a to-go window, serving grilled cheese with customizable toppings as well as the classic pairing for this particular sandwich: tomato soup.

The spot also serves up locally made pickles made by its head chef, used in some of its dishes and also sold by the jar. Pickle Vick, the pickle brand, is available exclusively at Cheese Louise.

Over on Whyte Avenue, you can get one of these delicious and classic sandwiches as soon as today. Its grand opening took place on Jan. 16, where it gave away free sandwiches as well as a guitar.

What’s really special about this new spot is its Feed it Forward board, where you can donate $5 toward a free OG grilled cheese to feed anyone who’s hungry, with no questions asked. This is a fantastic way to give back to the community, and it only goes to show how committed the restaurant is to giving back.

As for its hours, Cheese Louise is open Wednesday through Sunday. Its hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, and 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

If you’re ready to get a taste of that delectable, cheesy goodness, get ready to hop over to Station Park today and get a bite of its five-star grilled cheese.
