Brad Marchand is continuing to take jabs at the Edmonton Oilers whenever he sees the opportunity to do so.

It isn’t just the Oilers who bear the brunt of Marchand’s ruthlessness. The 37-year-old, who has had an outstanding career to date, is known to stir it up with both players and fan bases.

Oilers fans got to learn that to an entirely different level last year, as Marchand took plenty of shots at the organization after he and the Florida Panthers were able to defeat them in the Stanley Cup Final. Despite that coming back in June, he doesn’t appear to be done just yet.

This time, it was a former Oiler, Ryan Jones, who was on the receiving end of a harmless yet funny shot from Marchand.

Jones, who played with the Oilers from 2010 to 2014, joined Oilers Nation to discuss how there is no city better to win hockey games in than Edmonton. The quote was then posted to Instagram, where, to no surprise, it caught the eye of Marchand. The agitating forward wasted no time in responding.

“What you smoking boi,” Marchand wrote.

Marchand has won two Stanley Cups in his career, with the first coming as a member of the Boston Bruins during the 2010-11 season. Based on the response, it seems he was quite content winning in those two cities.

Despite Marchand’s response, however, many agree with Jones. In each of the past two seasons, Oilers fans have shown up in full force in hopes of witnessing their team win a Stanley Cup. Having failed to do so since 1990, it’s hard to fathom just how crazy the city of Edmonton would go should Connor McDavid and company be able to make it happen.
