Where to find the best croissants in Edmonton for this National Croissant Day

Jan 30 2026, 4:39 pm

It’s National Croissant Day, and what better way to celebrate than with the flakiest pastry out there?

These flaky pastries come from France, but they’re known across the world as some of the best, buttery morning, afternoon, or evening snacks. Make a sandwich out of it, eat it on its own, whatever you do, it’s simply delicious.

For this year, we’ve rounded up some of the best places in Edmonton to snag a good croissant. Some of these places even have specials and are celebrating National Croissant Day themselves, so don’t miss out!

Ayco Café

We would argue not only that Ayco has incredible pastries and croissants, but that it’s also what put them on the map.

This bakery knows how to do pastries. It was the first in Edmonton to make giant croissants, and it perfected the flaky, cubed croissant shape as well. Located right on Jasper Avenue, it’s the perfect spot for a cute lunch date, a delicious pastry, or just a grab-and-go!

Address: 10551 Jasper Ave., Edmonton, Alta.

For this year’s National Croissant Day, Duchess is stepping up its game and offering a wide variety of different croissant flavours and shapes. On its Instagram, the team showed a preview of the croissants it will be dishing out today.
