If you’ve spent any time in downtown Edmonton, you know that ATB Place is a busy hub where people work, meet, and eat, and now, over the next few years, the building is getting a huge facelift.
ATB Place (10020 100th St. NW) is undergoing a massive transformation that will make the space more accessible, energy efficient, and comfortable for tenants and visitors in an effort to reinvigorate downtown Edmonton.
From late 2025 through 2027, construction will take place in sequenced phases to minimize disruption to those in and around ATB Place.

The redevelopment will give ATB Place a fresh new look, with a modern conference and meeting space, a full fitness and wellness centre, better bike and end-of-trip facilities, updated lobbies and public areas, more food and seating options, and a main entrance that’s easier to see and will make the building feel more connected to Jasper Avenue and MacDonald Drive.
Here are some renderings of what the updated space will look like:

In the next phase of construction, the building’s north escalator will be closed starting Monday, March 9. Signs will guide visitors to alternate routes, while the south escalators, elevators, and other access points remain open.

Throughout construction, food services, the parkade, and bike parking will remain available. Temporary closures will include the north escalator, fitness centre, and conference centre, and any other closures will come with plenty of notice.

“ATB Place has been a cornerstone of Edmonton’s downtown for many years,” said Brad Merchant, SVP Asset Management, Colliers. “By reimagining shared spaces, amenities, and the public realm, this project strengthens the building’s long-term relevance, enhancing the tenant experience, and supporting the continued revitalization of Edmonton’s downtown core.”

In anticipation of the redevelopment, there have already been 200,000 square feet of new leasing and 470,000 square feet of renewals at the building since 2024, Colliers said.
Work is scheduled for completion in 2027, so we won’t have to wait much longer to see new life brought to this busy corner of downtown YEG!
