Large retail plaza and apartment project being built just west of Edmonton

A sprawling development is in the works for a city just west of Edmonton, which is set to include numerous apartment buildings and a retail plaza.
If you’ve driven on Parkland Highway between Spruce Grove and Stony Plain lately, we’re sure you have noticed some work being done on a chunk of land along it and Jennifer Heil Way.
In a little over a year’s time, that area will be a bustling hub for hundreds of people, with a new purpose-built rental community in the works, with occupancy anticipated in early 2027.
Phase one of the project, named The Elm at Legacy Park, will deliver two buildings and 186 modern rental suites, with 93 suites in each building, according to Forum Properties.
Residents of the buildings will get to bask in premium in-suite finishes and a wide array of lifestyle amenities, including a fitness centre, lounge, and an outdoor patio with barbecues and fire pits.

On the same plot of land, The Shoppes at Legacy Park (formerly Creekside Commons) is in the works and will sprawl across 21.5 acres.
It’s already got some prominent establishments signed on to pop up there, including Chipotle, Supplement World, Burger King, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, and Firehouse Subs.

According to the Forum Properties website, a map detailing the project shows two large storefronts in the area, with one under negotiation for a tenancy, while two future residential buildings are outlined beside The Elm at Legacy Park buildings.
