One of Calgary's most popular cafes to open its first location outside of the city
One of Calgary’s most beloved cafés is set to open its first location outside of the city in a pretty iconic spot.
Alforno will be opening a brand-new storefront at the corner of 8th and 8th in the centre of the stunning mountain town of Canmore, with the spot expected to open this winter.
“We can’t wait to become part of the Canmore community and share our Italian-inspired coffee, artisan baking, and hospitality with both locals and visitors,” Alforno said.

First opening in 2015, Alforno, which is part of the Teatro Group, has become a staple in the city for its laid-back vibes, inspired by Italian café culture.
From coffee to handcrafted pastries and freshly baked bread, Alforno has gone from strength to strength, expanding to eight YYC outposts.
The Canmore outpost will be Alforno’s ninth location and its first outside of Calgary.
