160 new cases of coronavirus detected in Alberta over past 24 hours
New COVID-19 numbers are in from the Province of Alberta.
According to the most recent update, there were 160 new cases of coronavirus detected over the past 24 hours.

This brings the province’s total to 17,909 over the course of the pandemic.
With 16,072 cases recovered and 266 dead as a result of the virus, there are now 1,571 active cases left within Alberta.
New daily cases have been increasing over the past three months following a low in June that saw an active case low of just 305 cases.
At its peak, Alberta saw 351 new cases of coronavirus in a single day on April 23 — roughly one week before active cases saw their own peak on April 30 at 2,994.
As always, Albertans are encouraged to practice safe physical distancing, maintain proper hand hygiene, wear a mask when out in public, and stay home if they are feeling at all sick.
