Frequent WestJet flyers and Telus customers will hopefully be able to earn more points and save more thanks to a collaboration between the two companies.

On Wednesday, the airline and telecommunications company announced that they have linked their loyalty programs to offer more value and flexibility to their members.

Starting on Oct. 15, 2025, WestJet Rewards and Telus Rewards members who link their accounts can earn, transfer, and redeem points across both programs. This will unlock “exclusive travel and connectivity benefits.” In addition, members will receive WestJet seat selection vouchers and the telecom giant’s Roaming Passes.

“Telus Rewards members can transform their everyday connectivity into memorable travel experiences, and WestJet Rewards members can redeem their points for Telus services like innovative streaming bundles, smart home products, internet, mobile phones and more,” stated Zainul Mawji, executive vice-president and president at Telus Consumer Solutions.

Members who link their rewards platforms can do the following:

  • Earn WestJet points on their Telus bills
  • Redeem WestJet points towards their Telus services and the Telus Rewards catalogue
  • Convert their Telus rewards points into WestJet points, unlocking flights, vacation packages and more through the new WestJet Rewards eStore

As a bonus, members who link their accounts before Nov. 30, 2025, will receive a free entry into a contest to win an all-inclusive WestJet vacation for two to Mexico.

The carrier revamped its loyalty program earlier this year, introducing five major updates, including changing WestJet dollars to points and introducing the rewards eStore.

The telecom giant also updated its loyalty program, introducing a tier-based system that rewards customers based on the number of products and services they have.

This isn’t the first time the Canadian companies have teamed up. Wi-Fi on WestJet flights is courtesy of the telecom company, delivering high-speed internet on more than 100 of the airline’s narrow-body aircraft.

WestJet isn’t the only Canadian carrier that has updated its rewards program. In August, Air Canada introduced significant changes to its loyalty program, impacting how members earn points.
