A new home might be on the horizon for Nam Nguyen and Khanh Lang, who are still wrapping their heads around a $1 million Lotto 6/49 win.
The St. Albert, Alberta pair said their first priority is paying some bills, but they’re also thinking about buying a house. “We’re going to take some time to decide first,” Nguyen said.
Nguyen and Lang are regular lottery players and were stunned when they scanned their ticket for the June 28 draw using the Lotto Spot app.

“I saw the number and could not believe it,” Nguyen said. “I’m so happy… it feels like heaven!”
“I can’t even say what I expected this to feel like, but I was so happy and excited [to win],” Nguyen laughed.
They purchased their winning ticket at the Forest Lawn Co-op at 3350 17 Avenue SE in Calgary, and matched the selection in the June 28 Gold Ball Draw — 34713801-01, a white ball.
