Two Canadian lottery players just got a lot richer after scoring a Lotto Max second prize and a Maxmillions prize.

The Lotto Max draw took place on Tuesday, May 6, and the jackpot was a big one, with a top prize of $75 million. The winning numbers were 05, 13, 15, 20, 45, 48, 49, and bonus 09, but no one won the jackpot. But after they matched six of the seven winning numbers and the bonus, someone did win the next best thing: the second prize, worth $303,148.80. According to PlayNow, that lucky ticket was sold in Ontario.

Seventy people will split the third prize after matching six of the seven winning numbers. They’ll each take home their share worth $4,330.70.

During Tuesday’s draw, 12 Maxmillions prizes were up for grabs, but only one lottery player snagged a prize after they matched the winning numbers 10, 16, 18, 24, 35, 36, and 41. As a result, a lottery player in Western Canada will soon take home a $1-million prize.

Someone in B.C. is now $500,000 richer after they matched the Lotto Max Extra winning numbers 3, 4, 30, and 91. The ticket was sold in Burnaby. It was also a lucky draw for another lottery player in Ontario who won $1 million after they matched the Encore winning number 5843771.

The last time someone won the Lotto Max jackpot was Friday, March 28. According to OLG, someone in Ontario won the $65-million prize — the fourth jackpot won in the province in 2025. The winning ticket was sold in the town of Newmarket.

Hoping to try your luck again? The next Lotto Max draw is on Friday, May 9. The jackpot has just hit the game’s maximum prize limit of $80 million. There are also 14 Maxmillions prizes to be won.
