
There’s no such thing as a mid-week slump for one Canadian lottery player who just scored an impressive prize in the recent draw.
The Lotto Max jackpot has been climbing lately, and all eyes were on the prize that was worth $50 million during the draw that took place on Tuesday, Aug. 18.
According to Playnow.com, the winning numbers were 04, 13, 21, 26, 39, 43, and 48, with bonus 05. No one won during this draw, but two people came quite close after they matched six of the seven winning numbers and the bonus number. The winning tickets were sold in Ontario and Quebec, and each winner will receive $91,108. Meanwhile, 46 people will take home $4,036.20 after they split the third prize.
But the biggest winner during Tuesday’s draw is a lottery player from Western Canada who matched the Maxmillions winning numbers 6 8 15 22 29 30 35. According to WCLC, the ticket was purchased in Alberta, instantly making one Canadian $1 million richer.
There were other winners during the draw, with seven Canadians scoring MaxPlus prizes worth $100,000. The tickets were sold in Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan, and two in B.C., while two winners from Vancouver and Ontario split one prize.
In B.C., no one won the $500,000 Lotto Max Extra Prize, and similarly in Ontario, no one won the $1-million Encore prize.
The most recent Lotto Max jackpot winner scored a $25 million top prize on Friday, July 24. The ticket was sold in Oxford County, Ont.
The next Lotto Max draw is on Friday, Aug. 21, and the main prize is now at $55 million with four Maxmillions prizes and 55 MaxPlus prizes.
