Canadian an instant multimillionaire in weekend lottery draw
It was an unforgettable weekend for one Canadian winner who managed to snag a life-changing lottery prize.
One lucky Canadian lottery player just became a multimillionaire in the Lotto 6/49 draw that took place on Saturday, June 13. The Classic Draw numbers were 01, 05, 09, 17, 36, and 46, with bonus number 12, and someone from Western Canada managed to match the winning numbers. According to WCLC, the ticket was purchased somewhere in Alberta, resulting in the winner becoming instantly $5 million richer.
Although no one won the Classic Draw second prize worth $137,452.90, a total of 68 people ended up splitting the third prize. Each of them will walk away with $848.80.
One lottery player in Ontario scored a $1-million Gold Ball Prize after matching the numbers 58521078-03. No one won the $12-million top prize.
There was a Classic Draw Extra prize worth $500,000 up for grabs in B.C., but no one won in the recent draw. However, another Ontario lottery player became a millionaire after winning the $1-million Encore prize.
The next draw is set for Wednesday, June 7, and the prize is worth $14 million. The last time someone won the Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball jackpot was on Saturday, June 6, when someone from Ontario won the $12-million prize.

No one won the $15-million Lotto Max jackpot during the draw on Friday, June 12. However, someone did match six of the seven numbers and the bonus to win the $170,560.10 second prize. The ticket was sold in Ontario.
The third prize was split among 30 winners, who’ll each take home $5,792.90. There were 15 MaxPlus Prizes to be won, but no one won a single $100,000 prize. Similarly, in B.C., no one will be taking home the $500,000 Lotto Max Extra Prize, and in Ontario, no one won the $1-million Encore top prize.
On Friday, June 5, a winner from Alberta scored a $15-million Lotto Max jackpot.
The next draw is on Tuesday, June 16, and the jackpot is at $20 million.
