Canadian lottery player stuck to this one technique that won him $100,000
A lottery player in Alberta is $100,000 richer, scoring a Lotto Max prize after always sticking to a certain ticket-buying technique.
Guy Charrois of Fort Saskatchewan told Lotto Spot that he has a very specific approach when it comes to buying lottery tickets: “I only ever purchase a Classic Pack.”
The Fort Saskatchewan winner discovered his prize after scanning his ticket on the Lotto Spot app, expressing his surprise to his wife.
“When I scanned it, I said to my wife, ‘I won some money!’ and she said, ‘What? $20?’” he laughed. “Then I showed her, and she couldn’t believe it.”
With a trip already on the horizon, Charrois is looking forward to enjoying a few extras and checking off some major financial goals.
“We are going on a vacation soon, and we might be able to indulge more,” he said. “Then we’re going to pay off our cabin, and I’m going to purchase a brand-new car!”
“It feels awesome and is just a relief!”
Charrois purchased his winning Lotto Max ticket from 7-Eleven at 7802 95A Ave. in Fort Saskatchewan. He won his $100,000 prize in the May 29 Lotto Max draw by matching the selection: 2, 4, 14, 22, 30, 47, and 50.
