The Labour Day long weekend turned out to be a lucky one for several Canadian lottery players.

Two players kicked off the long weekend with a huge Lotto Max win in the Friday, Aug. 29 draw. The winning numbers were 03, 05, 12, 18, 20, 31, 34, and the bonus number was 16.

Sadly, no one matched all seven lottery numbers to win the $30-million jackpot. However, one person from Ontario and one from Quebec matched six out of seven numbers, including the bonus, to nab the second prize of $86,997.70 each.

Thirty-eight lottery players split the third prize, taking home $4,578.80 each.

The winning numbers for the Lotto Max Extra prize were 5, 18, 30, and 31. Unfortunately, no one won the $500,000 jackpot, but 48 Canadians did match three out of four numbers, winning $1,000 each.

More Canadians beat the odds in Saturday night’s Lotto 6/49 draw.

The Gold Ball jackpot had $10 million up for grabs. While no one won the jackpot, the first white ball was drawn, blessing a lottery player from Quebec with $1 million. The winning numbers for the White Ball prize were 64761815-01.

The winning numbers for the Classic Draw prize were 03, 05, 06, 11, 36, 38, and the bonus number 48. No one matched all six to take home the $5 million top prize. However, one lottery player from Salmon Arm, B.C. matched five out of six, including the bonus, taking home the $144,356.10 second prize.

The winning numbers for the Classic Draw Extra prize were 28, 33, 44, and 68. The $500,000 jackpot went unclaimed, but 49 Canadians won $1,000 each after matching three out of four winning lottery numbers.
