Canadian scores $1 million in weekend lottery draw

The weekend was a lucky one for a Canadian lottery player who managed to score an impressive $1 million win.

The Lotto Max draw took place on Friday, June 6, and the jackpot was worth $10 million. The winning numbers were 02, 05, 08, 09, 24, 28, 32, and bonus 22, but no one won the top prize. After they matched six of the seven winning numbers and the bonus number, someone did win the second prize after purchasing their ticket on PlayNow.com. The lucky winner will be taking home a $144,557.20 prize.

Forty lottery players across Canada matched six of the seven winning numbers to win the third prize, and each will receive $3,613.90.

No one won the Lotto Max Extra Prize worth $500,000 or the Encore prize worth $1 million.

It hasn’t been long since someone won the jackpot. On June 3, a lottery player who purchased their winning ticket in Quebec won the $20 million jackpot.

The next Lotto Max draw is set for Tuesday, June 10, and the jackpot is worth $15 million.

One Canadian lottery player is now $1 million richer after winning the White Ball Prize during the Lotto 6/49 draw that took place on Saturday, June 7. The winning number was 44890771-01, and the ticket was sold in Ontario.

No one won the $5 million Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw Prize, but three people did win the second prize. The Classic Draw winning numbers were 02, 10, 12, 21, 36, 41, and bonus 33, and the winners matched five of the six winning numbers and the bonus. As a result, they’ll each take home a prize worth $66,308.60. Two of the tickets were purchased in Western Canada, while one was purchased in Ontario.

The third prize will be split among 92 winners, who will each receive $907.90.

There were no winners for the $500,000 Classic Draw Extra Prize or the $1 million Encore prize.

The next Lotto 6/49 draw is set for Wednesday, June 11, and the top prize is now worth $28 million.
