
One Canadian lottery player will likely be starting off the week with a celebration after winning $1 million over the weekend.
The Lotto Max draw took place on Friday, June 13, and there was a $20 million jackpot to be won. The winning numbers for the top prize were 02, 28, 34, 37, 40, 46, 47, and the bonus number was 32; however, no one won the main prize. Two Canadian lottery players matched six of the seven numbers and the bonus number, thereby splitting the second prize. Each one will receive $84,066. According to PlayNow, the tickets were sold in Enderby, B.C. and Quebec.
Thirty-one people won the third prize, and each will receive $5,423.60.
No one in B.C. won the $500,000 Lotto Max Extra Prize worth $500,000. Similarly, no one in Ontario won the $1 million Encore prize.
A group of 15 employees from a car dealership in Trois-Rivières, Que., are the most recent Lotto Max jackpot winners, scoring a $20 million prize in the June 3 draw. The co-workers said they smiled from ear to ear as they gathered in front of the dealership to hug each other.
“Everyone was jumping into each other’s arms,” said group member Jessie Lacombe-Charette.
The next Lotto Max draw is on Tuesday, June 17, and the jackpot is worth $25 million.

Although no one won the $30 million jackpot during the Lotto 6/49 draw on Saturday, June 14, someone did win the White Ball prize. After matching the winning number 11707761-02, someone from Mission, B.C. is now $1 million richer.
The Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw winning numbers were 05, 08, 20, 28, 35, 38, and bonus 46, but no one won the $5 million prize. However, three lottery players across Canada managed to match five of the six winning numbers and the bonus number to score the Classic Draw second prize. As a result, each of them will receive $75,148.50. Those tickets were sold in Richmond, B.C., Ontario, and Quebec.
The third prize will be split between 84 people, each of whom will receive $1,127.
It was a lucky weekend for one lottery player in Langley, B.C., who scored the $500,000 Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw Extra Prize. In Ontario, one lottery player is now also $1 million richer after winning the Encore top prize.
The last time someone won the Lotto 6/49 jackpot was on May 7, when a ticket purchased online in Ontario was the winning one. The Gold Ball prize was worth $60 million.
The next Lotto 6/49 draw is on Wednesday, June 18, and the Gold Ball prize is worth $32 million.
