Someone in Canada is a brand-new multimillionaire after lottery draw
One hopeful Canadian lottery player’s dream just came true overnight after winning a life-changing sum of money.
The Lotto 6/49 draw took place on Wednesday, Nov. 5, and the Classic Draw winning numbers were 05, 16, 17, 30, 35, 46, and bonus 06. Someone was lucky enough to match all six numbers to win the top prize, instantly becoming $5 million richer. According to Atlantic Lottery, the ticket was purchased in Newfoundland and Labrador.
As for the second Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw prize, five people managed to match the winning numbers. According to PlayNow and WCLC, three tickets were sold in Ontario, one ticket was sold online in B.C., and another was sold in Calgary, Alta. Split between five players, they’ll each receive $38,625.10.
A total of 69 people will split the third prize, and each of them will take home $1,175.30.
During the draw, the Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball prize was worth $20 million; however, no one scored the jackpot. One lottery player in B.C. who purchased their ticket online did match White Ball winning number 07073368-02 to score a $1 million prize.

No one in B.C. won the Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw Extra prize worth $500,000, and similarly in Ontario, no one won the $1-million Encore top prize.
The most recent Lotto 6/49 jackpot win was on Oct. 15, when Stacey Boyce of Whitecourt, Alta., won $36-million Gold Ball prize.
Boyce was born and raised in Calgary but operates a logging company near Hinton, where he makes regular runs to the store to stock his camp.
“I’m there almost every day to get propane,” Boyce explained. “I usually buy my lottery tickets once a week [while I’m there].”
