Someone in Canada is $5 million richer after successful lottery draw
A lucky player in Canada is now a multimillionaire after a successful lottery draw.
The latest Lotto 6/49 draw took place on Wednesday, June 25, and it churned out several winners.
While no one won the Gold Ball jackpot of $10 million, someone from Alberta matched all of the lottery numbers (32525923-01) to win the $1 million White Ball prize.
The winning numbers for the Classic draw were 04, 08, 15, 20, 40, 49, and bonus 37. A lottery player from Calgary matched six of the numbers, nabbing the $5 million prize.
Three Canadians — one from Saskatoon and two from Ontario — matched five out of six winning numbers, including the bonus. They’re splitting the second prize, taking home $57,924.90 each.
Seventy-one lottery players matched five out of six winning numbers, taking home $1,027.70 each.

The winning numbers for the Classic Draw Extra prize were 24, 39, 51, and 98. Sadly, no one is taking home the $500,000 jackpot. However, 26 lottery players matched three out of four numbers, nabbing a modest $1,000 each.
The next Lotto 6/49 draw is on Saturday, June 28. There are 29 balls left to be drawn in the Gold Ball jackpot with a $12-million prize.

The last time someone won the Lotto 6/49 jackpot was on May 7, when another winner from Ontario won the Gold Ball prize worth $60 million. The ticket was purchased on OLG.ca.
The OLG release states, “We are waiting for that winner to claim their prize.”
