
A Canadian lottery player is wrapping up the week on an exciting note after winning a $1 million prize in the recent draw.
The Lotto 6/49 draw took place on Wednesday, Aug. 13, and the Gold Ball prize was worth $38 million. No one won the jackpot this time; however, someone did win the White Ball prize worth $1 million after they matched the winning number 73905495-01.
According to PlayNow, the lucky ticket was sold in Quebec.

The winning numbers for the Classic Draw were 04, 09, 11, 12, 42, 49, and bonus 41, but no one matched the six numbers to win the $5-million prize. Someone in Surrey, B.C., matched five of the six numbers and the bonus number to win the second prize worth $153,662.50. The third prize will be split among 100 lottery players across the country after they matched five of the six winning numbers. Each will receive $645.20.
No one in B.C. won the Classic Draw Extra prize worth $500,000, and no one in Ontario won the $1-million Encore prize.
On June 21, someone matched the winning number 48771804-01 to win a massive Gold Ball prize. According to OLG, the ticket was purchased in North Bay, Ont., and the prize was worth an astounding $34 million.
The next Lotto 6/49 draw is on Saturday, Aug. 16, and the Gold Ball jackpot is now worth $40 million.
